MUTARE cricket franchise, Mountaineers, who have brought in experienced batsman, Greg Lamb in their camp, kick-started their 2012/2013 season preparations on Monday.

The 2012/2013 season starts in October, with the Mountain Goats playing their first match on October 6.
Mountaineers coach, Garry Brent, confirmed the developments.
"Yes, we have since finalised on the issue of Greg Lamb and he will be part of us this season. In fact, we started our preparations on Monday.
“We started off with the fitness check and later embarked on the contracts for the 2012/2012 season," he said.
The Mutare Cricket franchise managed to win the prestigious domestic T20 tournament to atone for their shortcomings in the other competitions.
Their new acquisition, Lamb, a right-handed batsman who can bowl both off spin and right arm medium has national caps at Under-12, U-15 and U-19 levels.
He played in the C&G Trophy final for Hampshire against Warwickshire in 2005 and was a valuable member of the squad which finished runners-up in the Frizzell County Championship in 2005.

Lamb was released by Hampshire at the end of the 2008 season having not played for the first team under caretaker coach Giles White. He took just eight championship wickets at 71.37 in the 2008 County Championship season.
In 2009, Lamb joined Wiltshire, making his debut in the Minor Counties Championship against Wales Minor Counties.
Lamb has since returned to Zimbabwe and was turning out for Mashonaland Eagles. Lamb has had a prolific season with the Eagles which has led to his inclusion in Zimbabwe's squad for their tour to the West Indies.
