SUNGURA heavyweight, Nicholas Zacharia, has roped in the services of upcoming and talented local sungura outfit, Hungwe Stars as his curtain raisers on his countrywide shows. Madzibaba recently told The Weekender that he was impressed by the level of professionalism the group possesses.

He said he wanted to nurture them to become a more formidable outfit.
"Hungwe Stars is the most professional group I know in the eastern border city. The guys have impressed me on a number of occasions. I just love the way they conduct their day-to-day business. I am happy to tell you that I will be with the boys (Hungwe) every time I perform especially in Mutare. I know the exposure will help them a lot. I also hope to nurture their talent and help make the group a more professional entity in a few years to come. I believe they need our support," he said.
Madzibaba, a renowned artiste who has known it all in the music industry nurtured the talents of various artistes, the likes of the late System Tazvida, superstar, Alick Macheso, Zacharia Zacharia and many others.

In a separate interview, the ecstatic Hungwe Stars band leader, Simba Muchita, said: "Obviously I am on cloud nine and I appreciate the recognition. Madzibaba is one of those musicians any upcoming artiste will like to be associated with. He is a father figure and we cannot wait to partner him in his shows. This road (music industry) requires the brave and we, as a group are determined to sail through to the top through the help of established artistes like him (Zacharia)," he said.
Some of the Hungwe Stars hits include Sasha and Dananai.
